Windows 10 - WiFi won't turn on. Title is pretty self explanatory, the WiFi on my laptop wont turn on, it just shuts the switch off after a few seconds. In the icon tray the WiFi icon shows empty bars with a red x in a circle in front of it. Switching between Airplane mode does not help, and the drivers are up to date as far as I can tell.

In the Networking drop-down, I am told that the WiFi3 is turned off, and I have the choice of a Manual re-enable, or delays of up to 8 hours. If I click the Wi-Fi button at the bottom right, I get a brief listingTurn off the Laptop. 2. Remove the battery and press and hold power button for almost 5 seconds. 3. Reinsert the battery and turn on laptop. 4. Try connecting the wifi now. It should work. Else try running the troubleshooter.
